*Memory depth required for the application equals 5*(high freq in Hz)*(long time period in seconds). I.E. to make a wave with 20 MHz component you need to sample at 100 MHz. To make a wave last 1 milliSecond you need 5*20,000,000*0.001 = 100,000 point arb wave memory.




Signal Generators typically include the ability to be configured to deliver voltage to either a high impedance load or to a particular load (usually 50 Ohms).
