Application PhotoRigol's products are widely used in test, measurement, and monitoring, as well as for research and development in universities and colleges. Our products are also widely used for high-speed testing applications such as telecommunications physical layer testing, video testing, and high-speed digital design verification.

Rigol Technologies Inc. is a leading supplier of Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Virtual Instruments and other critical test & measurement tools delivering competitive advantages to electronic manufactures to meet their needs for product development and research, process monitoring, production testing and quality control.

  • Instrument Communication with VISA and USB Instrument Communication with VISA and USB
The Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA) is a standard for configuring, programming, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems comprising GPIB, VXI, PXI, Serial, Ethernet, and/or USB interfaces. VISA provides the programming interface between the hardware and development environments such as LabVIEWTM, LabWindowsTM/CVI, and Measurement Studio for Microsoft Visual StudioTM. NI‐VISATM is the National Instruments implementation of the VISA I/O standard. NI‐VISATM includes software libraries, interactive utilities such as NI Spy and the VISA Interactive Control, and configuration programs through Measurement and Automation Explorer for all your development needs. NI‐VISATM is standard across the National Instruments product line. With NI‐VISATM, you can feel confident that your software development will not become obsolete as your instrumentation interface hardware needs evolve into the future. • Using an Oscilloscope's Memory Depth Using an Oscilloscope's Memory Depth
Some digital scopes offer the capability of capturing waveforms in Long Memory mode. Utilizing long memory, Rigol scopes can capture complex signals in great detail over extended time periods. This allows an observer to examine high frequency effects within the captured waveform.
  • Oscilloscope Signal Analysis Using FFTs Oscilloscope Signal Analysis Using FFTs
FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) is a process which converts a time‐domain signal into its frequency domain equivalent. Common applications for usage of FFT waveforms are: Measuring harmonic content and distortion in systems, characterizing noise in DC power supplies, and analyzing vibration.
  • PictBridge Printing with Rigol Oscilloscopes PictBridge Printing with Rigol Oscilloscopes
PictBridge is an industry standard from the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA) for direct printing. It allows images to be printed directly from digital cameras to a printer, without having to connect the camera to a computer. Using PictBridge allows users to print waveforms from a Rigol oscilloscope directly to a PictBridge enabled printer through a USB cable connection.
  • Using an Oscilloscope’s Record & Playback Capabilities Using an Oscilloscope’s Record & Playback Capabilities
The waveform recorder records waveforms from any input channel of an oscilloscope. On the DS1000D/E Series oscilloscopes up to 1000 frames can be recorded at a time. This feature can also be activated by the Pass/Fail test output which makes this function especially useful to capture abnormal signals over a long period of acquisition without the need for constant monitoring. This function offers three modes: Record, Playback and Storage.
